I'm well into my installation of the MX1. Yesterday I wired the V16 radio which will be controlled via the MX1 as will the TT22 transponder (w/SP-12 for ADS-B GPS). By far the radio is the most complicated part to install. Quality shielded wiring, proper grounds, and a good match on the antenna are all musts in order to minimize radio noise/interference. Had to add 1.5" onto the antenna which had been cut by the previous owner. Might actually get the basic wiring done tomorrow and power it all up.
I didn't consider a Sonex restoration project worthy of Dynon or Advanced as the cost gets out of balance very quickly.
