timing mags

Postby flyinbrian » Mon Apr 27, 2020 3:39 pm

I had to replace the gear ring on the flywheel (Great plains crank) and I must have installed the flywheel in a different position. Engine won't start on Mags. My question is: When installing the flywheel
with #1 cyl. top dead center , where should the magnet be? As it is now the magnet is on the bottom mag firing #1 and #3. Should the magnet be centered on the mag or not
