Yours must have had a different ring then... the one in my kit (and the 2nd one I ordered) had about a 3/8" to 1/2" ring split gap straight out of the box.

Since tech support didn't comment directly about my video, I've sent them another inquiry to specifically confirm the play I have is acceptable.

Ok, received final confirmation from Aeroconversions that I'm good to go.

"Yes, we did look at your video. While yours is a bit looser than some we’ve seen, we don’t see any reason for concern. They are all loose to some degree.

Don’t worry about “end gap” on this ring either. That varies from ring to ring. Some are pretty tight, while some are a bit wider."

Time to slap on the prop hub and call step 1 of the engine assembly complete!
