Those cars had excellent heaters till the salt on the northern roads compromised the heater channel liner. Then the insulation would collapse and block the airflow.
My 1972 Super's heater (formerly based in Arizona before relocating to Michigan) would keep the rolls warm on the front seat on the way to Grandma's house for Thanksgiving.
