Throttle Cable setup?

Postby dtibbo » Tue Jun 25, 2019 8:28 pm

I have a UL 260iS, and the throttle cable attaching to the engine is posing a small issue.

I've installed the throttle cable as recommended, and it bows before getting to full throttle. The slack means I'm going to get a non-linear throttle response...

In the Homebuilt Help video, they've solved this issue with a piston-style throttle end attachment. But that piston and accessories are sold by Zenith, only to Zenith owners. So I can't get my hands on that particular kit. Anyone know something similar I could try?

ACS have throttles with the solid piston at the carb end.

I use an A800 on a bing carb. I had to modify the arm on the carb to reverse the shaft rotation from pull to open to push to open.
