Hi All,

I wish to acquire a cost effective (best for price) oil filter opening tool - your recommendation will be much appreciated.

Daleandee -
You the man!
Wow! I never would have thought of using tin snips. Every home mechanic has them, so no additional cost and it does look like you can avoid most if not all potential for additional metal contamination.
The video shows quite a large spin on filter - is it just as easy with the much smaller Rotax (harder to hold/smaller radius to cut around)?
Cant wait to give it a go.

This is the tool I use and recommend. Works perfectly and will last a lifetime.

I use the small K&N filter on my Corvair conversion (HP-1008). This method has worked well for me.
