Red Cube Transducer Install Location

Where are you successfully installing your fuel transducer? In front of the firewall or behind it?
In front of the firewall - it will be in all that heat and possible running up hill as it should.
Behind the firewall - out of the heat; but running down hill quite a bit.
The instructions that I've come across state that it should be installed in a level plain with straight lengths of pipe on both ends and no sharp bends close to the transducer.
With the AeroVee engine there's no pulsation from a fuel pump the bother it.
I'm leaning toward behind the firewall; but wonder if it will read properly.
Thanks,
Richard
