MGL RDAC alternator pick up for AeroVee

Postby rhw5548 » Wed Jun 14, 2017 12:30 pm

Hi Guys, looking for information on how to wire the "CURR" on my MGL RDAC. This would be current flow to the Battery.
I see the middle post from the regulator goes to the Battery, is this also used for the Current on the RDAC. Do I need a current
sensor from MGL? are there others, are different options?

According to the manual you need a current sensor from MGL which has its own set-up manual.

Yes, and I've never gotten mine to work right. I finally gave up. Too many variables (it's not fire-and-forget). I just look at the "volts" on the MGL screen and can see if it's charging or not.
