Cowl openings

Does anyone have pictures of the completed cooling cutouts on their B model? Trying to picture what they should look like after opening them up as per firewall forward Sonex directions. I'm wondering how important it is to cut the openings as precisely as Sonex details them and how well your Jabiru 3300 cools.

Did you ever get any reply about the cowl openings? I'm putting side outlets on my A Model Sonex and the interior fiberglass parts don't come with ANY guidance.
I did find a revision to a drawing for placement but it does not list the radius of the forward corners. If Anyone could send me (PM is fine) a picture or screen shot of their drawings of the cutout size, I'd really appreciate it.
While you're into the drawings, I could use the information as to the exhaust opening on the bottom of the cowl. Otherwise, I'm just guessing how much to close up the hole once I remove the metal lip.
Thanks in advance and Happy Landings

John,
See this thread.
viewtopic.php?f=21&t=6370&hilit=cowl#p48118As you can see - made my own for a Legacy Sonex and someone posted a picture of a B Sonex next to mine - from which I think you can figure it out. In my case it was more about avoiding the mount on the inside.
I did NOT close up my bottom vent and left it at the 54 sq in CLEAR called for in the build instructions. BROADLY I no longer have CHT problems.

Thanks Graeme. I got them laid out and moving forward with the project.
If anyone has a set of "B" plans, I'd be interested how they address the bottom opening.
Happy Landings
