B model vent line fitting location in tank

Per the dimensions on my plans I placed the vent line fitting hole in the fuel tank. I note in test fitting the tank with the glareshield, however, that the fitting does not fall within the glareshield cutout made for the gas cap? Is it supposed to? If so, the plan dimensions are wrong for the hole location (would not the first time for these plans) and I have to plug and redrill another vent hole in the tank, or I could drill a hole in the glareshield for the fitting to pass through? The plans would lead me to believe that the vent fitting and line runs under the glareshield to exit. But, no way the fitting is going to fit under the glareshield. The top of the tank is too close to the bottom of the glareshield.

What say ye before me? Thanks

Steve

I drilled a hole in the glareshield with a unibit. My tubing runs between the glareshield and windscreen...

Thanks gents. Suppose we are up the creek if one ever needs to change out the vent line after the windscreen is in place :- ()

I saw the company Waiex B at Sun N Fun on Wednesday. I see how the vent line was routed, through and above the glareshield. :-)
