Flap hinge inboard rivets

Postby N43WX » Sun Sep 05, 2021 6:03 pm

Doing flaps this weekend. On WXB-W06 (flap details), there are 2 rivet holes drilled in the inboard hinge 24.6 and 38.1 mm from the hinge edge that don't line up with the hinge centers. Then on WXB-06, it doesn't appear that there is a rivet placed in those locations at this time and it doesn't even show the holes present. I looked ahead to try to see if I do something later on, but I didn't find anything. What gives?

I built the sport acro flaps and noticed those holes and a few other oddities on that plans page (W27). I asked Kerry about it and they ended up putting out a revised drawing with several corrections:

Not the exact same drawing as what you're looking at, but W27 also had those two odd holes originally and they're gone in the revised version.

No guarantees but I can't imagine why you'd need two rivets there versus one centered on each lug like normal!
