Flap Position Indicator??

The B flap drive motor comes with a feedback pot. I found an indicator made by another actuator manufacturer that I've been playing around with. It seems to work ok on the bench. The indicator has a series of LEDs that light up as the actuator extends. You can choose via a jumper all or one LED. There is a small pot on the indicator to adjust the LED on/off. Its small, the LEDs are not overly bright, it cost $20 plus shipping. I'm still playing with it and have yet to determine if its suitable to use. If anyone else has let me know.

Great! I've started thinking about how I need to have an indicator of some sort. Please keep me posted!

I designed and tested a prototype flap position indicator that will have 12-step LED bargraph and a "Full Up" indicator LED. Printed circuit boards are on order with assembly planned in February. Parts cost is about $26.00
Check back next month for more info.

Why reinvent the wheel? Here, these work quite well....

In fact I have two new indicators just sitting around on the bench, though you would still need the position indicator.
