Raising instrument panel/glareshield

Hi all,

Dennis C's: Tiny Shiny: (note the cockpit mods around 5:20 in)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfWorbG7g08

I'd like to do something similar to tiny shiny - and yes i realize it's currently for sale - just not realistic option (2200+nm ferry + a border/constant changing rules).

So looking at buying used + refit to my needs - I can't seem to make myself fit in a sonex (tried 3 and an Onex on for size) - guessing my thighs are longer than most? Knees end up jamming into the panel and those way too common panel extensions.

Has anyone documented the changes to raise the panel & glare shield? And how absolutely nightmare inducing would it be to try to do this to a B model after it's been completed (not being a builder not sure of structure - I'm guessing it won't come easily?)

Thanks in advance!

I made some changes to my panel back in 2019.

Thanks for that, couldn't twist myself enough to look under the panel when I started thinking about the possibility of raising it, and google wasn't leading the way to pictures to get an eyeball on how it's put together. Those pictures definitely clear up the process.
