I’m 6’2” and don’t know if I can fit in a Sonex.
If someone in Houston has one I can sit in just to size it up I would appreciate being able to do that

Please let me know

Rick

I'm 6' 250lbs and fit in mine pretty decent, my legs dont hit the panel and it's very comfortable with the stock Sonex-B interior.

I'm 6'2" and sat in one at Oshkosh, with my 5'2' wife next to me. Seemed ok, and that was the A model. (I'm up in Dallas)

Hi Rick,

I live in the Houston area and building a B model. My wings are nearly complete but I have not yet built the fuselage. I'm 6'5" and sat with my son in the factory demonstrator before I bought it. I'll probably use an in-ear headset rather than over-the-head so I can keep some clearance and not worry about scratching up the inside of the canopy. Shoulder room is tight with two people but that's a compromise many large pilots live with. I don't mind a snug fit but I bet other large guys will have a different opinion.

I don't remember any issues with knee room and pedal distances, but I haven't flown a B-model, just sat in one. Kerry from the factory says he's 6'0" with 34 inseam. That's the same inseam as me and here is a link to a photo that Kerry posted showing how much knee room he has in the factory B-model.
