Seat cushion attachment

Just getting around to installing the factory seat cushions in my Onex. The cushions came with one side of the hook and pile sewn to the cushion and the opposing side came without the sticky back tape that was on my Sonex cushions. In considering how to attach the opposing side of the hook and pile I am thinking about riveting it to the seat. Anyone tried this or have better suggestions?

I riveted the strips. It's not pretty but it keeps them in position. Strong adhesive or maybe hot glue might also work.

Use the industrial strength hook and loop that uses a VHB adhesive such as this.
