Good morning,
Please share with me methods used in setting the rivets into the Onex wing spar. I haven't been able to find rivet squeezer jaws wide enough to do the job.

I used a c-frame which worked beautifully .Just make sure you do it on a solid surface with no bounce or give .
The c-frame can then be used for dimpling the forward skins which is a bonus.

I know you are inquiring about a rivet squeezer but I'll pipe in anyway.
I used a 4x rivet gun and a very dense tungsten bucking bar and did it by myself. I had to replace 7 of the longest rivets with bolts as I elongated those 7 holes when extracting them as they were unacceptable.

A pneumatic squeezer big enough to handle a sonex spar is a bench mount type. I have seen one at Sonex's warehouse set up on a bench that I assume they use to rivet the spars that they sell pre-built. Ats has several but as you can see they are very expensive.

I have a big Chicago pneumatic 351 rivet squeezer that I used to set rivets on my Zenith 701 wing spar, but it did not work for the Onex. I ended up setting the rivets with a rivet gun. I too screwed up about four rivets and put in bolts for those four. Sonex also has a method for setting the rivets with a hammer and a bolt, you could look into that as well.

I did the hammer/bolt method, was surprisingly easy, just get the sonex bucking bar and do it on the concrete floor
