Getting Ready for flight
Posted: Sun Aug 09, 2015 12:49 amTomorrow my little bird will fledge. After 3 years, 2 months and 9 days, "OLD #90" is going to be trailered to Siloam Springs, Ar. municipal (KSAG) where the wings will
be reinstalled and a final check performed prior to the first flight. I'm going to wait till the weather cools a bit before flight tests. It has been in the upper 90's here
in northwest Arkansas, however, next week promises mid 80's and I will take advantage of lower 70's in the early am.
I have decided to fly off the first 40 hours prior to painting in the odd chance something needs to come back apart, paint scheme unknown at this time.
There have been some trials and tribulations while building and have been helped tremendously by Sonex techs, by friends "Dr" David Moore, Rick Wantz, known to
this group as "nwawingman" and ONEX builder, Rudy Polacek in Gassville, Ar. Thanks to everyone on this forum for your help. The proof will be in the pudding.
