Terminating Elevator and Rudder Hinge rod?

Postby dhogue » Tue Sep 30, 2014 8:02 am

Hello Onex community,

I am posting to ask how to terminate the ends of the elevator and rudder hinge rods?
Seems to me if I don't they will eventually move out one side or the other.

Thanks,
Don

Don

Look carefully on the plans pages - you drill small holes in the hinge and insert a cotter pin. I am not in front of my plans at the moment to give you a plans page number.

Don

I just realized you asked on the Onex page - I am building a Sonex.

Any Onex builders to clarify if the answer is the same?

The cotter pin solution works well on all the designs.
