Yeah. I drilled both of the windscreen vent holes directly into the windscreen after assembly was completed. As the saying goes, "Just do it". It was surprisingly low stress.

Don't cut down on your visibility, by the RV vents. They are cheap @ $14.oo and go in right next to your knees. They are simple, close flush with the skin, and supply more air than you need.
