Chicagoland Sonex Brunch Saturday Feb 20

Anyone interested in joining us, we are having another Chicagoland Sonex brunch at 1 pm this Saturday, February 20th, 2016. We will meet for food (likely lunch, not brunch) at 1 pm, chat, tell lies, and exchange building horror stories.

Then off to the airport to see my Sonex.

Meeting at or near the Aurora IL airport (KARR) and we can shuttle anyone flying in.

So far I am thinking across the road from the airport at a local bar. Any suggestions are welcome.

It's only Tuesday so I haven't thought that far ahead. :-)

How about flying into Rochelle or Clow if the weather is nice? Or can we park by your hanger without blocking anybody? Bob Kopeika,,,,,former Sonex 1143 now RV 12. Nice days in Feb are rare!

Where do we ask to taxi to if we fly in? I would like to come in if the weather cooperates!

I don't own the hangar and there is a not a lot of room adjacent to it. Please park on the ramp at the tie downs by the tower.

As for Rochelle - the logistics are insane. When we have done this in the past, just getting everyone in one place is a challenge, followed by a parade to a hangar or house to see a project.

I am working on the where to eat part, and will post that here and follow up via email for those I sent emails to.

We had 19 people today - biggest group yet. Thanks everyone for coming out - it was fun to share our mutual interest, talk about building, and show the airplane and hangar to my friends!
