I would like to do the same with mine while it is upside down for engine mount fitting. Do you all happen to have a source for the SS shim and epoxy?

I used this:

Did not bother with a stainless shim. When you bond it in upside down it will be fixed so the shock loads are metal to metal anyway.

Thanks Bryan, I want to epoxy my main gear axles as well, just a slight wiggle on them. I would probably have to wait until spring / summer though since the 50 degree and above weather is gone for now! Was the temps in your hanger the reason for the ceramic heater setup?

Ken,
I keep my hangar heat at 40, and turn it up to 60 when I am there. The ceramic heater kept that joint nice and toasty while it cured.

Just a thought... if you epoxy your gear, what happens if you need to replace it someday from damage or wear?
