Reducing the confusion

Postby BobDz » Sat Mar 16, 2024 10:10 pm

Since I am waiting for backorders, I've been skipping ahead trying to complete some sub-assemblies. Today was F16-03 Aft Tunnel Web Assembly.

I've started redlining my drawings to eliminate some of the confusion. Attached is an example, one that I suggest builders new to the plans use, and the way I was taught to properly prepare drawings many decades ago...

Plans exist to eliminate confusion, not create it.

Your plans look different than mine. On my plans the Qty required and where used is found in the lower left hand corner. The exception is when a part is used for an assembly occurring on the same sheet. I would like to see the use of a single datum for measurement. Dimensions on a drawing and not just "full scale drawing".
Oh well, I may be going to hell in a bucket, but at least I'm enjoying the ride.
