GPS antenna location

I'm hoping to avoid placing the GPS antenna on the turtle deck outside the plane. Has anyone had success putting it under the cowling?

Middle of the glareshield under the windscreen works.

My GPS (for the uavionix skyfxe) antenna is on a bracket at the top of the forward most turtleneck bulkhead... at the very top. This position is inside the canopy, about 1/4” forward of the canopy bow, well out of the way of everything yet in view.

I could see that working too. Other than running the wiring to there from the panel it would be straight forward. It seems like the glare shield is a popular location and close to the panel and doesn't involve drilling more holes in the stainless firewall which is no picnic. I'll just plant it there. Thanks everyone.
