If you have the machined angle component kit, don't make your -09 flap drive pivot block assembly from hand measurements. Transfer the 3/16" holes from the -07 flap drive mount to the phenolic. Or make them on a mill, or do them twice like I am. The second time around I have transferred the holes with a transfer punch to a scrap piece of 1/8" aluminum and I will use that as my template.

This would be equally true for a Sonex but I don't know the plans page. Maybe somebody wants to post this info on the Sonex plans area.

This is also true for the rudder pedal mount blocks. In fact I would suggest to hold off riveting both the flap and rudder mounting plates (to the side fuselage) until the rudders and flap drive tube are fitted.
