Brett,
I enjoyed reading your blog. If you have not yet installed your gascolater, I have a suggestion for location. I have the same gascolator that you have. I had a hard time figuring out the best place to put it. I have a tri gear so I may have been a little more limited in locations. I found the best place to put it was where you have the fuel input fitting flush with the bottom of the passenger side rudder pedals, exactly in the middle of the rudder pedals. This results in the gascolator almost sticking out the bottom of the cowling (and improving the ability to put some fresh air onto it with a small inlet lip). The fuel line would also come down to the fuel fitting right down the middle of the passenger side rudder pedals. This protects the fuel line and the fuel fitting from passenger feet. Also, this puts the gascolator as the uncontested lowest point in the fuel system. The fuel line from the gascolator to the AeroInjector is then slightly uphill. You want this for two reasons. One is to trap water and sediment in the gascolator and two is so vapor in the line will travel up and through the AeroInjector and out of the fuel system. If this happens, you will have a burp, but what you need to avoid is high spots in the fuel system where vapor can build up and potentially cause vapor lock. You can prevent the burps by keeping your gascolator and fuel lines shielded from heat and kept cool with directed blast air.
Your build looks great! I hope that you are having as much fun as I had building! I am now enjoying performing incremental upgrades while I fly my plane. I recently added the oil filter sump from the turbo package, installed the top mounted oil cooler, redid my baffles with silicone baffle seal, and am now installing a Rotec MkII TBI. As part of that install, I fabricated a mount and installed a Vans RV8 throttle quadrant, upgraded to A-1920 control cables, installed a Facet electronic fuel pump, and am fabricating ram air induction and a carb heat muff.

Thanks Jake for the tips :) I will look into the gascolator location today..
This site and it's members has helped me immensely in regard to building this plane. It really makes it easier having such a readily available resource.
