Well .... just bit the bullet and bought the spar caps. I think the only other thing I need to buy from sonex is the canopy. Even with that still under 6000.00 with engine mount.

Got the right spar angles made and pilot holes drilled. (Still a mess here)

That is about where I am at not counting the tools I bought to build this thing. My build is not going nearly as fast as your though. I started off scoring and braking pieces to make blanks to then lay out my holes and mess them up and make them again.

I don't know what Sonex typically sells for spar caps extrusions these days but I hope you'll insist on getting the raw, uncut version like we had to deal with in the "good ole days", 20 years ago. You wouldn't want to cheat yourself of the experience of measuring the raw extrusion 3 times and still cutting it incorrectly as some were known to do.

In any event, you plans builders are to be congratulated and appreciated. There seems to be less and less of you all the time.

Hey Billy, just want to mention, the stack-up on the left and right spar caps is
different. Something to watch for, I did mine wrong and was a pain to fix.
