My stock MFD pitot static fittings consisted of super-long hose barbs on super-long unions. I didn't have clearance to connect anything to them and besides I had run 1/4" OD poly tubing. So I trashed the old fittings and made new ones. Initially I tried to 3D print them, but PLA does not tap very well. I made them from phenolic. I did make some PLA tooling to locate mounting holes in the phenolic and the case of the instrument for some 6-32 screws.

I used nylon NPT to hose barbs for the tubes inside. I ditched the old tubes because they seemed loose on the altitude and airspeed transducers. The new smaller silicon tubes were a nice tight fit.

On the outside there is another 1/8" NPT hole that I screwed a compression elbow into.

I don't know if anybody from Aircraft Spruce reads this stuff - but I just want to say something positive. It seems they have added really cheap USPS shipping options for small packages. I think my shipping on the elbows was something like $4. Now if I need just a few small things from ACS, I just go ahead and order it. Thank you for offering that option!

Thanks for the heads up on the shipping option. As you said that will cause a behavior change.

About a month and a half ago, I went with that option to order a couple of needed Adel clamps.
ACS got them out the next day. They then spent the next 10 days in Atlanta, followed by almost 2 weeks in Jacksonville. From there they went to Massachusetts on a 4 day holiday before finally making it to Crystal River.

I'm sticking with UPS, added expense and all, till it becomes mandatory that government workers go back to their jobs to collect a paycheck.

A couple of orders ago, I placed my order in the evening and got the package on the next day. Probably helps that they put a store in Chicago.

Aircraft Spruce has been offering USPS delivery for several years now and that is most appreciated when it comes to small orders. Their nearest store is about 500 miles from my home and the USPS shipped order generally arrives in 2 days. UPS isn't always the answer.......on a recent purchase, the seller paid for overnight delivery to my home but it took 4 overnights to reach my home. Not good.

We squirted some oil in the cylinders, turned it over by hand so we could torque the prop bolts, and put oil in the engine.
