Belleville washer use for propeller installation

Postby 142YX » Sat Jan 31, 2015 12:21 pm

Jabiru recommends the use of 8 belleville washers for each prop bolt in their installation manual, but the part number they call out is for a 1/4" bolt, and believe that most people are using 3/8" bolts. My particular installation is a 3300 with a Prince propeller.

Are people using bellevilles? If so, how many and what part number?

Mark Zeitlin has done some work to figure out what the different belleville washers are for different prop configurations. Check out http://www.cozybuilders.org/Prop_Bolt_Bellville_Washer/.
