Rolling your own

What kind of paint did you use?

I'm using a 2 pack polyurethane from a company called Norglass:

The primer is a 2 pack epoxy from the same company

I initially chose this paint because it can be rolled on rather than sprayed (hence the title of this topic),
and even though this worked, I soon found spraying is not as hard as I feared and a lot quicker to do too, so I'm spraying everything now. Once you get the hang of it its quite fun.

Painted the fuselage today.
I'm pretty happy with the results No major runs or sags. This is a major milestone.
Now I only have to paint a small red and grey line along the length of the fuselage and I'm done! (need to mask it all up first which is the part that takes the most time...)

Just pulled the masking tape off the fuselage, that's painting done!
I am one happy camper!

Got the plane out of the "spray tent" today:


Next I'll put the tail & cowl on and see how that looks :-)
