Any one got good pictures of a good way to add a panel mounted control for the fuel valve?

Dirt simple:

Knob pushed all the way in = fuel ON, and does not protrude into cockpit. Knob pulled out = fuel OFF. Can see at a fast glance whether fuel is on or off.

Since the end of the rod is threaded, and the center of my panel is removable, I can unscrew the rod from the rod end bearing and remove the center panel in about 10 seconds. I originally made the rod from aluminum, but after 4 years the threads I tapped inside the rod were getting loose, so this summer I made a new one from stainless steel so it should last forever.

In the photos you can see the rod simply going through the panel. After 3 years the hole in the panel was starting wallow a little, so I enlarged the hole a bit and added a plastic snap in grommet. Now it slides nice and easy and should last a very long time.

Hi,
I have a remote fuel valve, pull-in, pull-out type that easily installs under the panel. See Pics
Pushed all the way in is OPEN, pulled is CLOSED. I lock the handle with a small catch that slides over the pushrod over which I slid a plastic hose.
The whole set-up is based on the Airward system that I tried but rejected because you would pull sideways on the fuel valve which can in the long run cause fuel leaks where the valve connects to the tank.
Just my solution,
Dirk
