This photo is the seal on the back of the canopy. I used the automotive weather strip product below from Pep Boys Automotive:
Here is the cutaway view of the weather strip:
On the sides I used a flat piece of automotive weather stripping. On the pilot side I stuck it to the bottom of the canopy frame and trimmed around the latches and guide pin. On the passenger side I glued it to the lower hinge half on the longeron as shown below:
On the forward canopy I borrowed an idea from Kip and that was to apply soft Velcro to the windscreen strap.
For the windscreen, I used some thin silicon baffling material between the windscreen and the fuselage sides and the forward strap. I got this from Aircraft Spruce. It is 1 inch by 1/16th inch.
It has worked well for me. It cuts down on wind noise and keeps most of the rain out.
