Looking for advise on Sonex with 2180 Revmaster

Been talking to someone about a possible purchase of a Sonex with a Revmaster 2180.
What kind of performance will I be looking at?
I have never had a Revmaster, is it a good fit?
What should I look for when I go to look at the plane?

Any advise is great

A lot also depends on the propeller. I don't know much about the Revmaster, but expect that it will perform about the same as the Aerovee which has the same displacement.

I'd expect climb rates around 800fpm with a 200 lb pilot and around 450fpm at gross weight at 75mph. If your propeller spins faster than ~2850rpm at that speed you'll probably climb a bit faster.

True airspeed at wide open throttle will probably be in the range of 125-145mph depending on the propeller.

Is there anything I should look at other than the obvious as far as airframe?
Any major service bulletins?
Weak spots

Here's some pre-purchase guidelines on the Sonex Foundation website:

Sonex keeps a list of service bulletins here:
