Tail questions

I am just finishing the horizontal stabilizer and have two questions.

First, I looked closely at the plans and it shows the elevator drive horn slightly off center. Is there a specific location it needs to be or just straight to the rear of the gap between the stabilizers? I know to let the elevator drive horn float to get the overall width at 78" - the width came out exact.

Second, I looked all over and cannot find a reference to the elevator hinge pin. I found the callout for the cotter pins to lock the elevator hinge pin in place, but nothing telling me how long the hinge pin is. I feel like I missed something obvious.

Just about to rivet the hinge to the the rear of the horizontal stabilizer rear spar channel, then pausing to ensure I get the last details correct.

Anyone recall these details?

I'll try to post a photo this evening to see if it makes more sense.

This is the part I am asking about - my assumption is the location is literal. The horn goes as shown just to the edge of the centerline. But how critical is it? Just over thinking it I guess.

Robbie, the horn is off center so that the pushrods can attach to to properly. I think if your overall length is right, the horn will be right (or close enough), because the horn only fits one way. As to the pin, I think the length is just set to fit between the cotter pins that capture it, no real magic. Measure the distance between the cotters and cut the pin ( maybe make it a hair short so it doesn't grind against the cotter pins).

Thanks Andy! I knew I was over thinking it, but after my screw up in October, I am not shy about asking.
