Hunting for a sonex demo flight in LA

Hey all,
A friend and I are considering a sonex, but we have yet to actually fly or ride in one! The two complete sonexes nearest to our location both crashed (sonex safety is a growing concern of mine...), and when we finally arranged a meeting with a builder in french valley, his plane was offline for repairs.

Anyway, can anyone provide a reference? We're based in long beach, but we can borrow a 172 from the club and venture out of LA if the need arises.

Side note: I am a tall guy, at 6'3". If anyone in the area has the lowered seat mod, that's a big plus. Jabiru 3300 also a plus.
