Sliding Canopy

Has anyone designed a sliding canopy like a Grumman or a kr?

The geometry doesn't allow it. The sides of the canopy pinch in from the back to the front. For a sliding canopy they need to be parallel. So you have two choices, flip back or flip sideways. Actually, you could do a flip forward, but haven't seen one yet.

A flip forward would be kinda cool. Especially with a single piece Todd's canopy.
With the stock canopy, not sure how you would do the lift arms because of the windshield.

Here's another interesting option. Canopy is hinged down the center and swings up on either side. It's at about 4:00 on the video.

Interesting...I thought all countries had registration numbers on planes?
