I suppose it could be an odd multiple of .006944", too (like 1/16").

Yes, basically a washer. Not as critical as you are thinking - a normal thin washer plus turning it out another castellation or two may get you what you need.

Maybe taxiing it around a bit will loosen it up. If it's still tight, I'll try the washer fix. Thanks!

Here is some more update to tracy obrien parts for sonex. He emailed me this am, and wanted me to share with you. His website went out last summer.
QuinnG. you may be able to help him out.
Tracy is now living in yuma az.
He may start advertizing on barnstormers.

parts he offers:

2in axle torque plates.
