Thanks for asking! Short answer is things aren't going good at all. The rib jig my friend made was 1/8" too wide, therefore making all of the ribs defective. To top it off a structural piece joining the lower longerons was also made defective, necessitating the replacement of the whole lower longeron. After some consideration I've decided to sell it back to my friend who I purchased it from. I may just save my pennies for Cessna. I'll be working this whole summer for an aerial applicator then I'm off to basic training in the fall so I really don't have the time needed for a project anymore unfortunately. No doubt I'll be building something in the future though.

Sorry to hear that Josh. I'm building from a kit (not scratch) and as a first time builder, it's about all I can handle. Setbacks can be incredibly frustrating, especially ones not caused by my own mistakes!

Hopefully your experience wasn't terribly disheartening and you'll have an opportunity to give it another go in the future.
