I installed RV pressure recovery nose wheel pants (substantially modified) on the main gear of my taildragger Sonex. While they look good, I can't say that I noticed any speed increase with them in place. There was a considerable amount of work involved, first moving the pant joint backwards to the axle location, then making the custom brackets to mount in place, followed by glassing in a cuff to enclose the gear fairing.

In any event, if you have to have them, do it for the looks, not the performance.

I did make moulds, send me a PM if you are keen. Alternatively if you run 500.5 tires you could maybe buy Vans main wheel pants. Not sure if the Vans main wheel pants would need much modifying? Vans will sell anything in his webstore to anyone.

Yes I agree Art. It is a bunch of work. But worth it for the looks alone.
