LRI (AOA) probe and plates

Postby Sonex1517 » Sat Mar 03, 2012 9:30 pm

I finished my LRI/AOA probe and mount today - just have to tap the probe's holes for the barb mounts.

Couple of photos attached.

Any real-world numbers on where to mount it and what angle?

For now I am planning on putting it in exactly the same place the pitot goes in the right wing, and at an angle of about 52 degrees (based on the only post I could find with a number over on Yahoo)

Robbie,

Your probe looks like it's coming out great. You probably posted this in an earlier post that I missed, but did you make that probe from scratch (I'm assuming you did if you have to tap holes)? If so, where did you find the design specs for it?
