Coolant temperature sender setup

I have an Enigma EFIS with a RDAC.

I am installing a MGL coolant temperature sender.

1. What port do I hook the wires up to the RDAC? I don't have a port labeled "coolant" as some do.

2. How do I program the EFIS for the new sender?

3. I have a gauge on the EFIS labeled "FLOW" that is not in use. How do I remove this?

I have submitted an email to MGL with no response.

I assume you have an RDAC XB model. The XF has a COOL connector.
1) You would connect it to either the CHT1/WT/AUX3 or CHT2/Carb Ice/AUX4. The WT is water temp. I installed a second OAT to the AUX3 post and monitor cowl temperature with it.

2) Each sender has a type you will select in the EFIS configuration. There should be a menu of available sender types to choose from.

3) I don't have an Enigma, but I assume its similar to my xTreme. On the fuel setup menu, go into FLOW and remove the sender type (set to none). That should remove it from the screen.

What engine are you installing that is water cooled? Jab with LCH?

You guessed correct. Jabiru 3300 1098 125 hours. Installation almost complete. Probably start it up this weekend for some tests.

Please report your results. I'd love to see how you mounted the radiator and which one you used. Last year I was a mouse click from being the first Sonex LCH. Still might go that route. My cooling is much better after I opened the cowl bottom up a lot, but I'd still like to climb without worrying about cooking the heads.

Plus you could include all of those sexy pictures of the coolant manifold you've been sending us pictures of!!!!
