I'm building the Sonex Model B and the flap motor has the position sensor built in. BUT What display do I use on the panel?

Most full featured EFIS will be able to display the flap setting. Refer to their manuals, most are available for free on the vendor’s websites.

Actuonix makes an indicator, works great. $24 on amazon.

You can feed it onto anything with a canbus. Mine is a little unique, but I fed it into the AEM display for my ECM which acts as my engine monitor. I also integrated trim position and fuel level there.

Actually, the potentiometer in the flap actuator has nothing to do with a can bus. Three wires are power ground and “brush” or the variable resistance wire. Wiring is simple, good explanation here, any Efis can accept this input and display position:
