Low Flying in New England

Postby GraemeSmith » Fri Mar 03, 2023 3:49 pm

I just got a call from an FAA Inspector from the Boston FSDO. Said inspector is VERY GA friendly and tries to use the "friendly compliance policy" wherever possible.

The crux of the message is:

It WAS a Sonex.
They have a good idea of the tail number.
The police chief in Chatham (Cape Cod) is tired of calls from residents about the plane.
The airport manager at KCQX - Chatham is really annoyed - he has enough trouble keeping residents happy, with lots of noise complaints and NIMBY comments. To have a non-resident buzzing on his patch makes his job unnecessarily difficult.

The message is a simple - "knock it off!"
