Sonex 813 First Flight
Posted: Sun Oct 05, 2014 7:56 pm
Hi Guys,
After a rather long gestation of 8 years, 2months and 28 days (but who's counting) happy to report Sonex 813 made its first flight Saturday 4 Oct 14 at 3:30pm.
Weather was a little windy and bumpy at Callington Airstrip, South Australia but everything went well.
Three circuits and 6 or seven landings , I called it a day for a total of 31 mins.
Earlier in the day I went for a short familiarisation flight in another Sonex, with Peter Anson (we don't have the option of transition training down under!)
That did help with conditions, sight pictures and aircraft feel. Thanks Peter!
Lynn Jarvis the first Aussie to build a Sonex (#143) was also on hand for photos and support.
Cheers
Tony
