The chase plane was my hangar mate, Zack. He graciously gave me some transition time in his Sonex. Very valuable for those of you without any Sonex time. The plane is very well behaved but doesn't fly exactly like a Cessna.
Zack hanged 500 ft back while I orbited the pattern for 30 minutes, 1000ft above pattern. Made the position calls, was there to be a cool head if I had an issue. Tried to take pictures, but I think it was difficult without a co-pilot.

Did second flight today. Just two laps around the pattern to see how my adjustments to baffling worked. #3 is still hottest and near limits. Its better but needs some tweaks. This is getting fun.

Don't sweat the CHT temps too much, within reason. I find that the hottest cylinder changes everytime I take the cowl off. Also, I think that it's possible that one reads the temperature of the air blowing on the sensor rather than the overall temperatre of the cylinder itself. My number 1 cylinder is always the coolest though the one across from it receives the same air blast and runs 100 degrees warmer...

I did a remix of the original video. I've learned a few things about iMovie and added some text and cut alot of the dull parts out.
Enjoy...

N116YX completed 40.1 hours today. Long boring flight. 2.5 hours. Everything in the green. My 82 year old mother wants to be my first passenger. Just need to figure out how to get in the seat!
