WHEN: Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 10am to 2pm

WHERE: Mojave Air & Spaceport, KMHV, Mojave California

Southern California Sonex Builders. Come enjoy a day at Mojave Air and Space Port. During "Plane Crazy Saturday". January 19, 2013 from 10am until 2pm. This is the first of many events to come around Southern California. There will be door prizes and awards for best kit and best scratch built Sonex Aircraft. Also longest distance flown and longest driven to the event. Fly or drive. Come see all the aviation history at Mojave Airport and make new friends. This will be a good opportunity to exchange ideas about building the Sonex products. Please contact Dana Baker at gripdana@yahoo.com if you think you can make it. Or just come on out.

My thanks to Dana for organizing (even though I am the only Mojave-living Sonex-builder he did all the hard work planning!)

Waiex # 142 will be there, she is not running yet but i'll push her down the flight line and park next to the completed projects.

Had a great time today in Mojave! Thanks again to Dana for organizing everything and thanks to everyone who came out! There were 3 Sonex aircraft on display (well, two and a half if you count mine) at least 15 or so fellow builders and at least 20 or so more Sonex fans and prospective builders. I am sure Dana got more photos than I, but here are two that i grabbed.

It was a long push back to the hangar, so i stopped to grab some interesting photo ops (and catch my breath)

The Waiex looks good next to an F-86!

Here is an interesting perspective..
