Mike and all...I just got back this evening from Lakeland. I arrived Wednesday evening and left Saturday to attend the Florida Sonex Association gathering at Zephyrhills. Numbers may have been "down" but it was a great time. I don't think people many folks spotted me in the Homebuilt Camping area but it's way more fun that camping a mile from the airplane. To be honest, I did not see any other Sonex at Sun n Fun and I obviously did not see everything but, I did see two 30 year old Moni's...go figure... :!:
Unfortunately, I have no pictures because a huge rainstorm blew through on Thursday and soaked many tents including mine and my camera was water-logged. Oh, well that's the excuse I needed to replace the six year old thing that I never really liked anyway.
Zephyrhills had a meeting of about 12-15 airplanes and lot's of enthusiastic builders/dreamers and of course John, Betty, and Jeremy Monett who may or may not have been happy to be escaping the snow in Wisconsin for the heat of middle Florida.
I'm sure that the Florida Sonex Association will have some great pics up soon.
