Stock Tire and Tube Replacement

Hello All,

After flying on my original Chen Shin (or whatever they are) tubes and tires for 2 years now, I think I'm going to toss some new ones on during my Condition Inspection later this month. The original ones still have around 30-40% tread and look okay after over 100 hours of flight time and probably 250 landings, but they're getting pretty worn and I don't want to have to mess with them later this summer. While I have the Waiex torn apart I want to get everything done at once!

I'm happy using the "stock" size (11-4.00X5) but I have no doubt there's a slightly better quality tire out there. Does anyone have a recommendation on a good tire? Spruce has the Azusa, Lamb, and Aero-Classic (Rib style) options but I'm curious if people prefer Desser or something else.

Much appreciated and Happy Easter to everyone!

Mike I used the the Desser retreaded tires on my last plane with good results and plan to order them when needed for this bird as well but may go for the 5.00 size.

I've had really good results with the "slick" tires from GPAS

I have to say, I have had terrific luck with the kit tires. 250 hours and 300 landings and they look as good as new. Not kidding.

I keep them at least 45psi but usually right at 50. The tires have never been on grass, always pavement.
