I gutted & converted a big old 1975 caravan (travel trailer) to carry my Sonex Legacy, almost completed project, 10 hrs on the road.
I installed internal tie downs, at about 1 m intervals ,down each side, at floor level.
As for tie positions on the fuselage - undercarriage of course but also aft fuselage with suitable padding, engine bed/frame.
Wings can be transported leading edge down in a carrier or flat on the floor with suitable protective material to make a sandwich.
I used a lot of bubble wrap, polystyrene sheets and packing tape.
Tie downs were all light duty ratchet straps.

I sent Ryan a bunch of pictures. We had the cowl off and ratchet strapped to the motor mount. Tied/strapped the tailwheel. Rolled up a couple moving blankets into tubes, tied them to the wall, and ratchet strapped the wing to them. That was hambone's idea and worked well. Had some blankets on the wheelwell and another stack deeper in the truck for the leading edge to rest on.

Nice work boys.
I think two longitudinal straps/wing might be a tad safer.
Cardboard or plastic right angle edge savers, where strap goes over an edge will help preserve edge & strap.
