Hey all,
I found an old thread with skybolt part numbers, but they didn't work at skybolt.com. Anybody bought them to replace Southco fasteners lately? Their website seems poor.

Hi Bryan

I used the part numbers SK213-2, ZG28S3-2, and SK2600-LWS

These were directly from the SkyBolt website. I also have the tools if you need to borrow them.

Hi all,
We used these fastners on our waiex cowl. Really nice stainless. Just ordered a set yesterday for our zenith cruiser
cowl. Not cheap but really good quality. Look through the experimental page, i like the interlocking alum tabs for the inside of cowl to mount receptacle, use pan head rivets.Really shores up the cowl.
And yes you need the special tools. pliers and grommet install.
Yes the web page needs some time to study all to know their product.

When I ordered the items in 2017 for my cowl, you could get a set with all 3 components (fastener, retaining washer, and receptacle) under the item “ZG28S3-SET1”.

Edit: here’s the item in their online catalog/shop: https://store.skybolt.com/mobile/zg28s3-set1-p2701.aspx

Hope this helps!

I noticed that these 2000 series state "non-structural with no mass consideration".
Do you (those who have used these) to be suitable for our cowls?

Thanks Noel, that helps!

BRS, I think the cowl would stay on with the hinge pins alone. So I think they are fine.
