2021 Type Club Meeting

Tue jul 27 2-3pm.
Hi all a good roundtable discussion on the eaa grounds at the Heritage bldg. Annual mtg.

and many thanks to eaa tom carpintier for leading the discussion. Good job Tom!
Accidents. Most EAB accidents are due to loss of control inflight. This includes low high speed passes and approaches to landing. Hitting objects , wires, poles, trees, other aircraft , and terrain (cfit) . another is losing control on landing and having a runway excusrion. third was fuel exhaustion.
Discussion on the new faa rules on flight instruction. the reason, the fallout, and fixes coming.
Talk of flight test cards instead of the 25 or 40 hours for eab flight testing.
Talk of transition training standardization among instructors and type groups.
Michael Farley wrote up the sonex transition training program . If anyone gets instruction in a eab sonex (loda) the instructor should be using this syllabus.
Myself attended again this year along with Tom Jones our sbpf treasurer.
